GROUP CLASSES
Make sure your dog always is a welcome member of the
family by teaching all the things you want him or her to know. Training enhances your relationship with your dog, and group classes are a great way to get started with the basics, socialize your dog, as well as have fun with your dog during the training process.
Puppy Kindergarten, Basic Obedience, Intermediate Obedience,
and a Group Class session to prepare for the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test, which is a regularly-scheduled Canine Coaches event.
Group Class session price is discounted for any rescued dog with proof of adoption.

| Puppy Kindergarten |
Puppy Kindergarten
Begin a happy, healthy and rewarding relationship with your puppy. This essential introductory Group Class session focuses on establishing good behavior, social skills and basic obedience for young puppies. You and your pup learn the basic commands of Come, Sit, Down, Stay and Wait as well as Walking on a loose Leash. In addition, the groundwork for essential puppy manners is provided, including the issues of housebreaking, jumping on people, pulling on the leash and mouthing as well as handling exercises to help your puppy become accustomed to and accepting of brushing, having ears checked and cleaned, having eyes and mouth checked and nails trimmed. Each of the classes includes a socialization period where puppies learn to interact confidently with other pups and owners in a supervised environment. You will learn to clearly communicate with your older puppy or adult dog and implement the following commands: Come, Sit, Down, Wait, Walking on a loose Lead, Leave It and Drop It. In addition, we will review basic manners that address the issues of jumping on people, pulling on the leash anf mouthing. By the end of your Basic Obedience Group Class session, you and your dog will also be able to incorporate all pertinent commands while Walking on a loose Leash. This class continues where Basic Obedience and Puppy Kindergarten sessions end and will challenge your pooch even more by reinforcing the commands already known in an environment with more distractions. Prerequisite is Basic Obedience or Puppy Kindergarten or demonstrable equivalent knowledge. Canine Good Citizen (CGC)
This Group Class session takes your dog through all of the exercises for the American Kennel Club (AKC) Canine Good Citizen award process. The CGC test will be given as the last class. The CGC award process is open to all dogs, not just purebreds. It certifies that your dog is a good citizen as defined by AKC standards (for a listing of the test items, please see: http://www.akc.org/eve nts/cgc/training_testing.cfm). CUSTOMIZED TRAINING at the BARKERS HOTEL
BOARDING TRAINING or DAYCARE TRAINING affords you the opportunity to have the well-behaved dog you deserve without having to put in the training time. You can have your dog obedience trained or have some commands reinforced while you are away and your dog is enjoying his stay at the Barkers Hotel.
BOARDING TRAINING provides excellent mental and physical stimulation for your dog while away from home and missing his or her normal routines. We recognize that everyone has different expectations for their pooch. This method training can be be customized to meet all obedience needs and correct many problem behaviors.

| Daycare Training |
DAYCARE TRAINING is the option for you if you do not want to part with your dog overnight. Drop off your pooch on the way to work and he or she gets to socialize and play in our Bark Parks during the day in between training sessions. On your way home, you get to pick up a trained and tired pooch.

Our customized BOARDING TRAINING and DAYCARE TRAINING programs include at least one follow-up lesson at the end of the training program for you and your dog with one of our trainers.

If life is just too hectic to join a group class, and you can not bear the thought of parting with your dog for even a day, then Private Lessons may be for you. Some behavioral problems can best be resolved when they are addressed in the environment in which they occur. We will work around your schedule at a time that is convenient for you.
