Paw di Gras 2010 |
Paw di Gras 2010 was held on Sunday March 7. This event was to show our appreciation for you as our beloved clients. Invitations were extended to the majority of our clients - if your e-mail address was on file - you received an invite. Over 450 clients and friends/family attended making this the most successful Client Appreciation Event in the 25 year history of Simmons Veterinary Hospital. If you missed the party, allow me to offer you a recap... The event started at 1pm with our friends pouring into our parks. First you would be greeted by our smiling and festive Client Services team. Here you would check in - receiving your goodie bag and your treasure map. Then, you would pass through our small dog park where a lively steel drums band was playing tropical island music. The food was served in a central park. We served fruits and veggies to tide you over until the rest of the food was ready. While you munched on your appetizers you were given the opportunity to watch either the world famous Disc-Connected K9 Frisbee show OR watch our paella men cook up the yummy main course OR you could begin your treasure hunt. The treasure hunt was a self guided tour through our facilities. You were able to find locations on the map to collect stickers. Once all the stickers were collected - you turned your card in for the chance to win a giant gift basket filled with fun prizes for you and your pets. If you hung around the food - or followed your treasure map - chances are you missed the first frisbee show. No worries, you were able to catch the second one! After the food was served our party guests made their way to the northern most bark park to participate in our Mutt Races. There were 3 races (one for each size group). Check out the Winners Circle page to see the lucky few. After the Mutt Races was the Pooch Parade. Our fancy furry friends lined up with their owners and paraded through our parks - showing off their Paw di Gras attire. The parade ended up back in the north bark park where Disc-Connected K9s kicked off their second show. At this point all guests the were in attendance were packing the park to see these crazy dogs and their amazing tricks. When this final show was over, so was the party. We hope if you attended you had a blast - we certainly did. If you missed it, we missed you! Trust me, this party was more fun than could be expressed in words or photos! Make sure you don't miss your invite next year - is your email address on file with us? |
